Dunning Circle Car vs Houses 01/16/19 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
At 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday January 16th, Local members responded to a reported explosion on Dunning Circle in Highlands Ranch. As crews were responding additional 911 callers reported a vehicle left the roadway and struck a house. When members arrived, they found 2 homes with significant structural damage and the driver of the vehicle with serious injuries.

Norwich Firefighters Local 892 is proud to announce that Battalion Chief Tracy Montoya has been promoted to Chief of Department. Chief Montoya has served the City of Norwich for almost 29 years. He has been the commander of Platoon 1 since 2007. Chief Montoya has also served in the US Navy and Navy Reserves for 33 years.

On the evening Wednesday January 9th, a small group local members put their athletic skills to the test during a basketball game with the Highlands Ranch Community Association, Therapeutic Recreation Southridge Nuggets Team. The Firefighters got beat for the second year in a row with a final score of 68-26, but both teams celebrated the victory!

A “Yes” vote was a vote to merge
A ”No” vote was a vote to not merge
Motion to merge passes 75% - 25%.
These results will be provided to IAFF 5th District Vice President Tom Thornberg. VP Thornberg will carry these results to the IAFF Executive Board for final approval from the IAFF.

2018 Salvation Army 01/02/19 - IAFF Local 21
St. Paul Firefighters who rang bells for the Salvation Army at Midway Cub Foods, the Grand Meander, and MN Wild home games collected a total of $14,654.00. Almost $2000 more than last year. Thanks to your efforts, those in need will continue to benefit from the services that the Salvation Army provides.

South Metro and Littleton Fire Unification 01/01/19 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
South Metro and Littleton Firefighters celebrated New Years Day at Firehouse 11 with a historic assumption of command ceremony. Elected officials, chief officers, honor guard, pipes & drums and family members were in attendance as Interim Chief Jeff Tasker transferred command to Chief Bob Baker. The two fire districts are now officially unified as one.
Trenton Way Multi Family Structure Fire 12/31/18 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
At 8:08 p.m. on Sunday December 30th, Local members responded to numerous 911 reports of an apartment building on fire at 2172 S. Trenton Way in Arapahoe County. While en-route, Battalion Chief 5 observed heavy flames and requested a 2nd Alarm, nearly doubling the amount of members and equipment.
